The Series Isolating Transformer (SIT) is typically installed in most AGL systems including Approach lighting, runway lighting and taxiway lighting systems and provides a low voltage power supply to light fittings and provides the same primary current value for all light fittings in the circuit unaffected by voltage drop resulting in a uniform light pattern. Circuit continuity is maintained through the SIT primary winding when the light fitting fails.

EFLA’s KR 500 & KR 600 Series Isolating Transformers are best in class for engineering design, quality, and reliability.

The KR 500 Series are EFLA’s standard transformer design and have a long history of reliable service.

The KR 600 Series has been introduced to provide very low leakage inductance as is necessary for the efficient operation of advanced power line control systems.

Both transformer types reflect EFLA’s excellent design capabilities which ensures very efficient low loss reliable operations in all installation conditions

EFLA’s KR500 and KR600 transformers are certified by FAA and approved by IEC. They also comply
with ICAO Annex 14 and several other international standards.
